Melbourne Intl airport (KMLB), Florida - 2011

Post by EvD »

No less than 47 Hueys have surfaced here. Most came from Temple-Daughon or are on DOS charge at Patrick AFB.

One area holds 17 whereas the other holds 30. Recent GE imagery clearly shows the lay-out (see 28° 5'49.50"N, 80°37'59.84"W); I have tried to refer to these rows as follows:

The uneven rows are the aircraft facing the fence and the even rows are the ones with the nose towards airside (except row 5 which also faces airside).
Sequence is from airport entrance to terminal building.
The rows are 'woven' (as can be seen on the GE image) so rows 1 and 2 are technically the same row.
Those marked '+' did have red cross mks, we did not note those on all (sometimes only the tails were visible of this tightly packed bunch).

Here we go (FYs not read off):
Group 1:
Row 1 (3) 70-16240/240, 71-20026/026, 7016391/391+
Row 2 (3) ..-16339, 70-16372, 73-22091 (TN)
Row 3 (3) 74-22524/524+, 69-15249, 70-16446/446
Row 4 (4) 71-20301 (CO), 70-16422 (GA), 72-21513 (WI), 70-16262 (NY)
Row 5 (4) 72-21633/633, 71-21319 (OH), 73-22072, ..-..…

Group 2:
Row 1 (4) 74-22396/396 (PA), 71-20325/325, 73-21770/770, 72-21637+ (DC)
Row 2 (3) ..-….., ..-..…, ..-..…
Row 3 (17) 71-20102/102 (PA), 70-15832/832 (PA), ..-...73, ..-...../500, 74-22445/445, ..-..…, 74-22533/2533+, 71-20263+, 73-21789/789+, 73-21678/678+, 71-20065/065, 71-20173/173, 72-21482/482, ..-..…+, 70-16298/298, 74-22302/302+, 71-20059/059
Row 4 (6) ..-….. (WV), ..-….., 69-15180, ..-….., 73-21723, 70?-16219

Go there and fill in the gaps please !
