BENT 21 & BENT 22 callsigns for C-130

Post by vkoudak »

Hello,

we expect at Prague tomorrow two C-130 aircraft with callsigns "BENT21" and "BENT22". Can anybody help me, which USAF / USARMY / USMC / USNAVY unit use this callsigns ? Any idea for exact aircraft serials ?

Thanks for cooperation !

My Guess they will be 352SOG MC-130's out of Mildenhall.
They regurlarly use a callsign only for one mission, this could be one of them.

09.07.21-0050z---(11175)(?)---C130 aircraft call sign bent 21 estimate arrive at lgsa(=Souda Bay) 0200z--

rq ph Aviano met dsn 314 496 6145--

bent 21 rq wea lgsa(=Souda Bay) 0200z---

pilot bent 21 C130 pos 250mi SW of lgsa(=Souda Bay) --fl 190+

Your birds are apparently on way, incoming from the Middle East and making a landing at Souda Bay--probably re-fuelling and crew rest+

09.07021-0318z-- CORRECTION

The bent 21 is incoming frim southWEST...

and not from southeast

It is therefore coming from someshere i Africa, - and not from the Middle East...

I regret the mistake...+

Hello,
the aircraft just landed already, there are two HC-130N from 102nd RQS of NY ANG based at Francis S. Gabreski Airport, New York state (tail numbers 88-2101, 88-2102). Both of them are on return flight from the mission at Djibouti. Will stay until 23.07.

Currently inbound Leuchars from Prague are the following 2 102RQS HC130's from Gabreski (NY)

88-2101 (BENT21)
88-2102 (BENT22)

Both have an ETA around 1200 local.

Cheers
