N800PM Gulfstream 5

This may sound non-military, but bear with me. N800PM came on the radar as it appeared at Tonopah Test Range w/c 18-Sep-20 and is pictured there in this article [url]https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/36968/secretive-tonopah-test-range-airport-had-a-mysteriously-busy-week-in-september/[url] At th...

Re: The 'black' USAF C-32Bs

As it's related, I think, to the black C-32Bs....I heard RCH581 departed KNGU (Chambers Field, Norfolk NAS) two days ago 29-Oct @0920z. The only track that correlates was a Gulf 5 which seems to have been N800PM, which has been visiting the same places as the 'Eglin' C-32Bs. I'll start another topic...

Colombo International (CMB/VCBI) 16-Mar-20

Hi

A number of military aircraft seen on departure from Colombo

SMH-4421, SMH-4422 Mil-17 plus a number of others which the video from my phone can't be sure about.

If interested, here's the view out of the window during the takeoff https://youtu.be/gUhpOPHDFXQ

Re: Mil: Brazil questions

Hi, I visited the museum on the 9th Feb 2020, I checked out the shed by the gate on foot and the E110 without a tail is c/n 110168 which makes it '2287', the 87 is actually visible on the port side of the nose, but the C/N is definitely correct.

Re: Help with ID of these Fokkers

Apparently it was 14-June-1994.

Thanks for the help, I hadn't thought to check the Fokker house logo.

Re: Help with ID of these Fokkers

Thanks Luamax, I've only been to Woensdrecht once, so that makes it June-1994. The tail logos don't match anything that I can find, odd!

Help with ID of these Fokkers

Hi, going through my old photos from the 1990s and I found some shots of these. I've had a google around but can't remember where I took the photo, or the operator. They look like Fokker 50s to me, but I'm happy to be corrected. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eCVr42V7074/W3AILO6CKuI/AAAAAAAAyxA/lJF9bT4s3...

Re: The 'black' USAF C-32Bs

Do we agree that 09001 and 24452, which usually operate from McGuire and are refuelling capable - or at least one is - do not normally engage in serial swapping?

It's those airframes that are based at Elgin/Duke/Crestview and Mobile that normally do (86006/96143/25001/N226G/N610G).

Re: The 'black' USAF C-32Bs

But does someone know why the US is using these aircraft? Whats their precise rol? Someone will know, of course, but they may not wish to share! For the moment we speculate. Swapping civil and mil reg/serial for a specially configured aircraft seems consistent with visiting civilian or military air...

Re: Stockholm (ARN/ESSA) CIV

Unfortunately, no I don't recall any tail band as it flashed past as we landed, it was late afternoon, around 1730 and there was only 1x C-17 that I could see, near the stored DC8 etc, well away from the C-32As. We couldn't get out of the Hertz car park for 20 minutes while the politicians returned ...

Re: Stockholm (ARN/ESSA) CIV

I know that it's not CIV, but I thought that I saw a C-17 on 25-August, on the other side of the airfield to where the 2x C-32As were parked. Does anyone know its serial? Many thanks.

Re: Stuttgart Echterdingen (EDDS/STR) 2016 MIL

Thanks Thomas. In case it's of interest, I've put my photos of '2', '3' and '4' at Stuttgart on https://germanyplanes.wordpress.com/. These were taken on 2-Aug-16 and '1' was not seen. Does any UH-60 expert out there who know why 01-26882 has a pointed nose?

Re: The 'black' USAF C-32Bs

96143 appears to have been back at Stuttgart on 10-Jan-12. From the photos posted above on its December visit are we any the wiser? It seems to have 12 windows on the starboard side plus a blank, so does this make it a contender for N610G in disguise? If so, it's re-stickered overnight in the US for...
