A few more informations were told at a press conference in the German embassy in Washington today: - more than 6 A-10 were planned for Lechfeld (10 or 12) - some of the not (for the exercise) required Tornados will flown out from Jagel to save space - the same could happen with parts of the Wunstorf...

In Wunstorf they have 30 A400 ramp spots. Normally only 13-18 of them are occupied. Additionally there are 6-8 other parking spots in the southeast part of the base and on the de-icing spots.

In a „worst case“ they can close and use runway 02/20 for parking.

A somewhat more quit flying day was on 03.04. with the following active F-16AM of Fighter Wing/Esk 727: E-007 (Have Glass V), E-018 (Have Glass V), E-597, E-601 and E-607 plus „Moon Beam“ QRA E-008 and E-605 (Have Glass V) departing from 10.00-10.20h in the morning. Taking off only in the afternoon ...

Look at Wunstorf…

For the second time in history LTG 62 flew with 24 different A400M in one single month - this time in March 2023.

Active were: 54+02, 08, 09, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 39, 40, 41.

The first flight of 54+21 was planned for the next days, but obviously postponed.

LTG 62 A400M 54+21 was rolled out today with a special Air Defender/US flag colored fin! It is the first special colored A400 in German service.

Noted here on 27.03. were the following TLwG 51 Tornados in the morning wave:

IDS: 45+16, 46+05
ECR: 46+25, 46+46, 46+49 (landed on another base), 46+50 and 46+54

Visiting was LTG 62 A400M 54+32 landing at 13.45h.

After it’s lightning strike in August 2022 A400M 54+33 was active again on 24.03.

Visiting twice on 23.3. was Global 5000 14+03 of FBS BMVg while special colored Eurofighter GS 31+17 of TLwG 73 will stay overnight.

Landing for a lunchstop on 22.03. was Eurofighter GS 30+28 of TLwG 74.

Visiting on 21.03. were KLu/298.Sqn. CH-47F D-472, D-481 and D-483.

It was ECR 46+38.
