Re: Caslav (LKCV) 2020 - MIL

Many thanks for this great log. Alca 6029 is sold to Draken International and now flying as N269EM. Are you sure about the serial or is this a possible misread or typo?? I see I made two mistakes at once  The Alca that was towed in the morning and did some engine testing was actually 6067! In...

Re: Caslav (LKCV) 2020 - MIL

So today indeed the aircraft came back to Caslav! We arrived at the fence around 8:30. Gripen 9239 was tested before a maintanance hangar and Alca 6029 was towed and did some engine testing at the other end of the base. Between 11:00 and 12:30 6 Gripens (9234, 9238, 9819, 9242, 9235, 9237) and 6 Alc...

Re: Caslav (LKCV) 2020 - MIL

Hi,
Thank you for reply. I will try to pay a visit this Monday.
As I read on the website of the base itself, 12 aircraft were TDY to Pardubice. Transport back to Caslav of personnel and equipment is planned this Monday... I will see!
All the best,
Rob

Re: Caslav (LKCV) 2020 - MIL

Thanks for the log! As I saw in a NOTAM, Caslav will open next monday after two weeks of closure. I'm in the neighbourhood: I might give it a try.
Based on earlier photos and logs I know where to go: but where to park the car? :-)
All the best,
Rob

Re: Grosseto (LIRS) - 2014

Some additional info: We stayed at Agriturismo Il Querciolo with actual sight on the South side of the base. (recommended: includes airco, swimming pool and bikes!) 99% of the time take-off takes place from North to South ('to the sea'). Subsequently, landings 99% of the time take place from South t...

Req: info on spotting at Pula, Croatia

Last year I was lucky enough to catch 4 different Mig-21's in two days time at the end of August. Now I'm on holidays near Pula again untill 11 August. As I was searching the forums for info I saw that the last years you had to be lucky to see them , but I also saw that the Migs were there at the en...

Re: Pula - Croatia (LDPL) 2011 MIL

Hi,
so that leaves us with 2 weeks 'holidays' for the Croatian Airforce... as the Migs were returning to Pula: where did they came from? Zagreb?

Pula - Croatia (LDPL) 2011 MIL

Spending my holidays in Croatia wasn't a bad idea: booking a holiday home (with a swimming pool of course...) only 2 km away from Pula airfield was initially a family affair (I didn't even realise that Pula also has a MIL site...). But (after I found out there actually was a MIL site) I hoped for a ...

Bedankt! Herkansing ja, maar ik ga m'n zoontje van 6 (voor het eerst) meenemen: voor hem vond ik doorlopende activiteit wel interessant. :D
