Re: ETAD 25-03-2009

Had you waited around a while, the following additions were noted between 12.30 & 12.45

C-17A 80049 62nd
C-17A 33122 437th
C-5B 70035 436th, plus another a/c, on the most westerly parking spot.

Re: ETAR 25-03-2009

The sun was just beginning to peep thru at 14.30 when the following additional C-17As were noted:

50106 437th
00181 62nd
21100 437th
21109 62nd
44131 305th

So, sorry, no extra Mississippi noted. Landing at around 15.00 was 70043, which I am 99% sure had a "March" tail band.

Stateside open days

Fellow Scramblers,

Is there anyone out there interested in visiting the US and thus sharing the costs for either of the weekends 25/26 April for Langley and S Johnson, or 16-18 May for Andrews, C Point and Beaufort?

No civil spotters please!

Um, is this in the right place Mr Moderator?

Re: Davis-Monthan, AZ (KDMA/DMA) - 2009

Just by the line of B-1s on 05 Jan was a double line of Tomcats, 29 in total, which those of you with a very good imagination might be able to make out from the attached - if I can work out how to post an image into this site!

Doesn't seem to have worked, but if it has, ignore the date!

Re: USN/USMC FA-18 Database

Nice list, but, do you happen to know the significance of the (temporary) codes applied to Hornets at NASNI? There were about 20 a/c parked in three lines early Jan, and only I read off the following details: Line closest to ocean: XE572 EA18G (166856), (NH)211 (166426), another, (NG)315 (163737), a...

Re: REQ spotting possibilities in California

Hi Marcel, Just spent some time in CA, and obviously your first "port of call" should be the Scramble show dates page! Next, you can e.mail the PRO at Miramar, make up some story about why you need to visit the base, and maybe he'll drive you round. You'll see hundreds of a/c against the s...

Re: REQ: c/n of the Swiss Air EC 635 P2i

Thanks Patrick, that's pretty much as expected. One error in my request, I meant July 2008 for the DHECX but I'll scratch it from my list. I don't suppose they'd put the things together then disassemble them for sending (by Alpenpost??) to Switzerland.

Re: REQ: c/n of the Swiss Air EC 635 P2i

Hi Guys, Occasionally, at Donauworth, can be seen EC1/635s that seem to relate to the c/ns or test reggies of Swiss AF machines, apart from the first four a/c which I know were operated from there. Is this possible? For example, D-HECX in late July 2007, could this be c/n 693/T358, or another a/c us...

..... And it was still alive and well as "FT" at DM on 04 Jan, along with some friends, 26201/FT plus 26195, 26199 & 26225 (no codes noted) and 23670 in the US Customs Service colours, and another u/i in some snazzy dark colours (sorry, I'm colour-blind so couldn't say exactly what the...

Tonno,

It's not fair, you can sit at Deci and take great pix, I can sit under their home approach all day long, even being seen by bored back-seaters in the Ds, but the first farmer who comes along calls the civil police and it's bad news for me. That's why I'm only a spotter!

Hey Tonno,

There's a guy who lives (fairly) near Nevatim who would be your pal forever if you shot the serials of the other 11 Sp F-16s :-)

For those of you who, I know, like to keep tabs on their movements,
C-130 72-299 RS just arrived at LLBG on a "local" flight calling "Chrome".
It joins FABrazil VC99B-2581 on the ramp.

Apparently 2 returned yesterday, HURON 54 flight, don't suppose you know what these were, and if you could keep an eye/radio open for the other 10, I'd be kind of happy!
