As far as I can see it is ok, read news it isn't that good above 200mm but as far as I can see no complains about it and when u need 300mm u normally have a lot of heathaze in this time of year too, but got some pics which looks good to me. I owed a 80-200mm 2.8 before, have this 70-300VR since some weeks now, but think it is sharper as the 80-200mm, only need more light I suppose.

Ik heb ooit ook een uv-filter gebruikt maar zie het nut er eigenlijk niet zo van in, heb zelfs het idee dat een foto zonder uv-filter er beter uit ziet, de foto wordt naar mijn inziens harder met een uv-filter. Het enige waarvoor je hem zou kunnen gebruiken is bescherming voor je "glas" tegen bescha...

Eerlijk gezegd denk ik dat de rotzooi op de grond niet van de echt spotter komt maar juist van de mensen en hun kroost die alleen foto's op hun vakantiebestemming maken.
