Re: Chania/Souda (LGSA/CHQ) - 2011 MIL

Just to let those interested know: the six Qatari Mirages are still there and parked outside on the south side ramp. East of that are the French M2000D and 2000-5Fs.
The north side is the US area with some E-3s and RCs present.
Go catch 'em !

Melbourne Intl airport (KMLB), Florida - 2011

No less than 47 Hueys have surfaced here. Most came from Temple-Daughon or are on DOS charge at Patrick AFB. One area holds 17 whereas the other holds 30. Recent GE imagery clearly shows the lay-out (see 28° 5'49.50"N, 80°37'59.84"W); I have tried to refer to these rows as follows: The une...

Another field off-fort. It holds the Kiowa fraternity. Terrain height prevents a clear overview, this is what we noted: OH-58A/C: 02A 71-21402 03A 09A 72-21409 25G 27D 71-20627 31H 33D 54E 56E 59B 64D 67B 75B 71-20475 83C 70-15183 83G 91F 70-15091 92D 92E 96C 71 -20496 Obviously, far less tie-ups ar...

Arjan, Please note that this airfield is actually on the fort itself. You can only access if you are visiting the museum, or have some appointment. Simply follow the sign posts to this field, and the rest is self-explanatory For security reasons, I am not going to put coordinates that are on militar...

With regard to the warbirds, an addition on Sunday was: P-51D N51YS/'411746' Scat VI former RCAF 9563 Btw...

Excellent find!

It is clearly visible from Waalhaven N-Z.

Shouldn't this topic be in Spotting Netherlands btw?
