Very very nice gents. Even just in static display this would be a great collection of aeroplanes but to have them all flying is another dimension! Hopefully I will for a change not miss it next year but admiring your photos makes up partly for not being there. Many thanks.
Great report Tally, thanks very much. Your experience with the locals reminds me of Taiwan 14 years ago. Funny how those parallels exist. Drooling over the the F-4s that will have gone by the time I get there, if ever!
The main question however is: why were they still flying, even if it was for a minute? The procedure for this type, and many other helos, is to land immediately if a fire persists - not just as soon as practicable. There were emergency landing options below the flight path.
