:dontkno:

Great news for spotters maybe. Not so great with regards to international politics and strategy.

Very nice! Good use of perspective. Did they also take off so close together? Would love to see a video of that.

Re: Air France may retire all Airbus A380 giants starting 20

That would be a shame. As a passenger (in economy class) I found these A380's the best and most comfortable planes we have ever used. That goes for the ones operated by Air France as well as those operated by Emirates.

Would be great, but I think neither if them is smart enough to come up with such a plot.

Turkey receives first S400 modules

Just saw the news that the first parts of the S400 system have arrived in Turkey. That may mean that delivery of F35 to Turkey will be cancelled. That would be a very understandable and wise decision. Maybe some of the 100 F35's Turkey has ordered will now be available at a discount to other buyers....

Normally these open days are held every two years. In the far past it was every year, but defense cuts made it every two years. This time there were three years inbetween because the air force had too much personnel occupied with operations abroad. There simply wasn't enough staff available to organ...

And please, don't put tents along the crowdline. I'm not talkling about reserved viewing areas but about stuff that should be put elsewhere so as not to obstruct the views. The whole eastern end was blocked, so that the public was much less spread out than possible. Indeed, very true. Huge sections...
