Morning JJ, The A-10s have (always? (at least a lot of times)) done 60 days AEF duties. The A-10s from 81st that were deployed Jan 04th / 05th, releived the A-10s that were there for also 60 days. Besides, Spangdahlem confirmed that they were "on duties for 60 days" (quote). That also confirms the f...
Hi JJ, As said before, the first hogs will arrive back home late next week. I will have someone there during their arrival  so I can confirm serials on arrival then. Please note that the A-10s are on a 60 day deployment and the F-16s on a 90 day deployment (that's what I've been told at least ...
Hi, I don't agree completely. When a unit is on deployment with 12 a/c, they still fly some missions (6 to 12) on an average day. Bear in mind that there are a total of about 60 a/c at Spang, so when 24 are gone, it's less then half of it... But indeed, my option (and what we always do) is to combin...
Good luck if you go there next thursday. You always see interesting stuff overthere. But keep in mind that 24 a/c are still deployed.
12 A-10s to return early march
12 F-16s not to return before April
Are you sure they didnot arrive today (the 4 Polish F-16s?)? As they are (were then?) filed for Lajes eastbound tomorrow.... (uhm, today that is (Saturday)).
Can you confirm the 2 polish are still there as well?
I knew the base was expecting 4 Polish this month, but originally they were expected late feb. But could be the ones for tomorrow are these ones.......?
Hi, Tomorrow between 0400 and 0600 (zulu) Deployed F-16s will either arrive or depart Spangdahlem. Base has special notam saying Spang is open for local a/c only. I would say they depart.... but that's just my guess.. Today, 2 new F-16s arrived at Spang for 52nd FW. Ex CC. They were Retro86/87. Two ...
Hi, Just got a call from a friend who just flew into Zurich himself. Wasn't much on the ground. Brasilian a/c still present as both Japanese 747s. As he has to fly there again tonight, might get more updates later. Oh, while he was enroute, he heard an interception by AF of (probably) a small jet. B...
