I'm not saying ladders are useless, but don't put them on the front row.
You're a meter (at least) higher than the people around you, so leave some space in front so more people can enjoy the show.

Probably the latter. I think he is compensating for crosswind or making a (rather weird) righthand correcti...

Another thing to keep in mind:

Several aircraft will only be there for a few days, and leave before the public weekend, just like at Farnborough.

I don't go to Le Bourget anymore, as the quality during my last visits was getting worse each time.
