one remark: 3608 never existed. 10608 has never been reserialled to 3608 and is preserved in Mexico City as 10608.

Thanks for the comments! all shots were taken landside, from various spots around the airfield. The sea borders the north side of the runway, so the sun is in your back during most of the day. You just move around the airfield a bit. See the Where to go section on this page for a map of the airfield...

there is a small US base here that can handle about five aircraft at a time. These pics were made over the last half year or so. Its not too busy, you need a lot of patience and luck.

I agree with you that the current designation of most of the operational Hornets in Canada is CF-188A, but it would be nice to know when this designation has changed. Did the letter you received shine a light on that? It has been confirmed that at their delivery they were officially designated as CF...
