Re: Den Helder Navy Days 10-12 July 2009

It's expected today now ;) Hello All, Expected to arrive today is NH90 N 102. ETA 15:00LT It will be flying from the Kooy for about two months. EDIT: NH90 again broken ETA unknown.. Sounds like it is becoming a habit for the NH90 to break down. The N-088 had to undergo extensive repair after arriva...

Respect Kingtrigger, A great job. :bthumb: Probably would have done the same because imho it is a wonderfull creature. I know not everybody is amused by it's presence but hé That sometimes happens to me as well. At least the animal escaped with a lesson learned and perhaps a great story to tell his ...

Re: Volkel Departures Photos 22 June 2009

It looks like a number of nozzles of the afterburner spray ring are not working. only the lower ones. Might be a new feature to reduce fuel consumption ;-) (And might be the answer to the question too.) Question to the witnesses: was the flame 'wobbling' (like a MiG-21 flame) or did it stay in the ...

Seems to me on the second photo the ram-turbine is deployed. Or is it my mistake?
Any info welcome.

Re: French plane 'missing off Brazil' (AF447)

A plane going down with extensive structural damage on the other hand, could produce this series of messages it seems... Exactly what I think. Something (severe turbulence? lightning strike?) must have damaged the A/C so bad that it's design ultimate load must have been exceeded by a big margin. Un...

Re: crash sportvliegtuig @ texel met dodelijke afloop

The newspaper Noord Hollands Dagblad which is part of Telegraaf say the pilot is injured (broken leg and headwound). Lets hope they are more well informed than the Telegraaf. http://www.noordhollandsdagblad.nl/nieuws/stadstreek/denhelder/article4569243.ece/Piloot_gewond_bij_vliegtuigcrash_update . A...

:M-): I think you should see it from full top or full bottom than it might show something typical Dutch.
For me so far the benefit of the doubt. ( it will stand out against allmost any type of weather however, so good pictures won't be the problem this year.)
