because it can be very, very useful :-) And a single search doesn't do that much harm, but a lot of parallel/consecutive searches do, which is up to a certain point prohibited with this 30 seconds limit. But to be honest, this was the default value, which until today I didn't give that much thought....

Hi SquAdmin, No this is a measure to lower the pressure on the database: because a search means every single record has to be searched, this puts a relative high load on the database. 100% correct; as ling as the addressee does not read the message, it stays in the Outbox. As soon as he/she reads it, it moves to your Sentbox.

OK, I've shortened the "spam detection period" to 2 seconds. But as soon as we are getting any spam postings again, I'll reverse that change!

That's right, but even messages that take longer (e.g. 10 secs) are often rejected. This also happens when I'm using the preview function. It seems like the counting starts over again when you're using this. Yes, as already explained on the previous page; In the meantime, just remember this 5 secon...

Please read above the first posting, and especially the part around;
with less than 5 seconds between clicking on the "new topic", "reply" or "edit" button and the "submit" button
I guess this was the problem.
