REQ: mil spotting around Tokyo

Dear all, I will have the opportunity to spend 2 days of spotting around Tokyo shortly. It will be a Sunday and a Monday. I will reserve the Monday for Hyakuri - I could need some advise for the Sunday: - visiting Kisarazu on a Sunday - anything visible from the outside or would all be inside? - sam...

Request: spotting in Saudi Arabia?

Hi all, Later this year I will be travelling to Saudi Arabia - Dammam area. I was wondering if anyone could fill me in about the (military) spotting possibilities around there. Yes, I know it is tricky  . But I have been in the Emirates and Iran and always managed to log some very interesting...

Re: LOG Finland

that was an educated guess....the hangar was open and an FA-18D was inside...plus 3 other two-seaters were flying from Tampere the same day - not many options left. But still a guess...

Re: Request Finland

Hi all, Thanx for the info. I just returned from Finland and had an excellent time at Tampere, Halli and Tikkakoski. Bad luck for the FF-1, it was not to be seen, but no less than 11 Vinka's was a nice surprise at Tikkakoski, plus a C295, a Redigo and two Pipers. Not bad at all. I'll post my logs ne...

Re: Request Finland

Sure FF-1  ...but he (she?) is still around so...

Kauhava is too far north. I'll go for the museum and the chance for my F-27 - plus a quick stop at Halli... I'll check my AIM/SGV-magazines for a Finnish airfield guide.

Regards,

Erik

Re: Request Finland

OK thanks! I checked Jyvaskila at Google Earth and it looks easy. I need my last F-27! That will do just fine...

Cheers,

Request Finland

Hi, I have to travel to Finland and will have one day available for some spotting. I fly in and out of Tampere, so that is a good start (last time I was there they still flew the Draken)... I know from experience that half a day at Tampere will be enough, because probably the same aircraft will fly ...

Re: LOG USA: from Minneapolis to Warner Robins...

Hi, A few remarks and questions to my log below: - I copied the LOG from an Excel file, why isn't it nicely printed with tabs (as a table)? - C-130 maintenance at civil side of Birmingham IAP: has anyone seen USN/USMC Hercs there before? A C-130 in bare metal marked "5000" only is a bit of a mystery...

Pensacola - Eglin - Tyndall - where would you go?

Hi all, Early February I can spend a Friday in the south of the US. I'd like to spend a day at a busy military airport with some nice viewing/spotting possibilities. What would be best? Pensacola, Eglin or Tyndall? As far as I can see on Google Earth Eglin is a difficult airfield, Tyndall has a good...

Flyboy,
