as a Belgian, i might have any say in this, but i would advise the Klu to dump the F-35 and buy something cheaper (Gripen-NG for exsample) instead. Belgium has also expressed intrest in the F-35, but the name Gripen has been rumored more and more nowadays. if course, Belgian and Dutch politicians sh...
seen it, hate it, looks more like a scheme from the YF-16 prototype. and a silver-metallic underbelly, that barely shows anything, both in the air as on the ground. im sorry, but i was expecting a bit better from the norwegians, lets hope the display is more impressive then the paintjob. at does hav...
UPDATE: i found a picture what i can confirm, is Belgiums first NH90 NFH, in final assembly and painted at Donauwörth. but i was very surprised to see a new type of Low Visibility type markings, something i never before seen in a Belgian Air Force aircraft. http://www.air-defense.net/forum/index.php...
UPDATE: color scheme for the NH90's are known to be light grey for the NFH (same as the Dutch NH90's) end olive for the TTH (as the greek and Italians). according to helis.com, the serials for the first 2 helicopters (NFH's) are RN-01 and RN-02 . all 4 NFH's are under construction at Donauworth, Ger...
no idea, but from what i can tell you, a few months ago, XM660 was spotted in Brugges Docks, last summer, on the same location where currently the 3 Mi-26's for Congo are stored.
i think in some way its a good move, Greece operates a large fleet of old fighters from the 60's (with exception of the F-16C/D and M2K of course) and due to the age of the aircraft, they ban be very expensive to maintain, especially the A-7 dating from the 60's. replacing them by new aircraft with ...
Day 2 also straight from the book 12-10-2011 NH-90 2x Primer c/s no markings / no serials were those NFH or TTH Models?, cause the first Belgian machine (first NBEN001, NFH) should be expected to appear arround this time. although im not sure if they were being build in France or Italy, they (defen...
bad news, Patrulla Aguilla cancelled and the weather isnt looking to good.
good news, the french are sending 2 Rafales from Sion and the BAF is doing an extra display.
although it hasnt been noted here, the delivery of the NH90 has been delayed again, delivery of the first NFH is now moved to April 2012, witch totals the delay to 9 to 10 months.
so my guess is the deliveries of the NFH and TTH models will now run more or less equal.
