Re: Request for serial, A-37 Phan Tiet, VNM

The only A-37 I know of in Phan Thiet is 3734, which sits outside the Government Communications Centre on Highway 1 (noted Nov06-Jun10).

Tornado "43+00"

Perusal of photos indicates that there are two Tornados marked as "43+00" (unless the Germans like repainting their aircraft backwards and forwards from grey to camo): http://www.flugzeugbilder.de/search4.cgi?srch=43%2B00&stype=reg&srng=2 As can be seen, both are captioned as being 43+61. Can anyone...

Re: Turkish Dakota at Tekirova

think it´s C-47A 6095 c/n 13444 ex 42-93523 and ex Kayseri-Erkilet stored. :conf: I don't think that the above is the correct identity for this 6095. It is the identity of the first aircraft which should have become 6095 (which was probably never delivered). It was replaced by c/n 20115, ex TC-TUG,...

958 is indeed a PC-21, it is the last aircraft of the UAE order.

No, I believe they retained the old CH-47D fuselage.

Re: REQ: Help on MH-47G

It might be worth mentioning that their "old serials" do not really apply to us as spotters.
Only the transmission and other internal parts are used in the "conversion", which uses a newbuild fuselage - the old fuselage is scrapped.
As far as we are concerned they are new aircraft.

You didn't actually say when you saw the Lynx, but here is one in early July on HMS Portland:

Re: preserved Lynx HAS.?? near HMS Belfast

Don't know which one, but this is far more likely to be an active Lynx on an active frigate. They often berth next to HMS Belfast when visiting London.
