Active A400M of LTG 62 on 06.01. were:

54+07 (one refueling mission in the morning), 54+12 (from Niger), 54+22 (from Al Azraq), 54+31 (three traning missions) and 54+36 (three traning missions).

Seen on the ramp were 54+09 (still propless but with engines), 54+14, 54+33 (engine test) plus eight more unidentified.

Four A400M will deploy to Darwin/Australia from September 5th to 23rd together with six Eurofighters (with TLwG 74 as the leading unit) and three MMU A.330 for exercise "Pitch Black". It will be the first time that German fighter aircraft visit "down under".

Making its first visit of type on the base and landing on 20.01. at 10.05h was A.330-243 MRTT T-058 of KLu/MMU.

More visits should follow in the next weeks as more PAX flights will be taken over from Cologne.

No nitpicking intended, but KC-30 is a designation used by the RAAF only. The NATO refers to these aircraft as A330 MRTT. This designation can be found amongst others on the official websites of the RNethAF, Luftwaffe, and the European Air Transport Command.
