The Singapore Airlines Dreamliner was here for training, and performed many short flights and multiple missed approaches during it's visit. This should become a regular occurunce here after a recent contract was signed between Singapore Airlines and the operators of this airport.

U-Tapao should see a second parellel runway constructed east of the present runway over the coming years. There are also plans for a second terminal in the area east of the proposed new runway with an ambition to increase passenger numbers massively in the future. Time will tell...
