Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Hi, Rob. Very funny.
I have Nikons, but these were shot with a Fuji FinePix S5700 S700 judging by the EXIF info in the images, see http://www.letsgodigital.org/nl/13067/f ... pix_s5700/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
That way, a set of shots which could have been quite good turned out not so good.
Jeff_LTT, I hope you don't take us the wrong way, but your images are not what they could have been. They lack sharpness, while also having a considerable chromatic abbaration problem in places. I know where you stood, I may be going again next week. Just to show that it can be good from that spot, see
http://www.cavok-aviation-photos.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and choose the 3rd link down in latest updates.
You may want to consider trading your Fuji "wannabee camera" for a (if necessary used) Canon or Nikon with a good set of lenses. Many people would not mind advising you as to what particular lens(es) to use. After your purchases, we also will be glad to give you advise how to use it best, as things will not be any better with the FinePix. It has not been designed and built fro what we do with camera equipment.

hello hans rolink,

thank you for your advise, i really aprechuate it!
i know my camera (the fuji s5700) is a camera NOT suitable for aircraft spotting :( ! but i got it 2 years now and i make good nature photos etc.. but i am a bit new in the aircraft spotting world and i make more and more trips to military fields :D .
when i compare my pictures with others i see the sharpness can be much better and that's the reason why i'm saving money for a new camera :D , i think it's gonna be the canon eos 500D or nikonD90 with a tele lens of 300 or 400mm!
i think when i got a new camera you can expect better (in relation to quality) photo's! :D
and i enter military surface soon and before i complete about 1/2 a year of courses etc i will have a new camera because i become a helikopter mechanic and than i can take some nice photos at and around gilze!! :D :D
but again thank's for your advise!

:ontopic:
Jeff, even if the quality gets better, may I advise you to present smaller selections? That keeps it more interesting for the viewers - you can read this in other threads too.
That said, it looks like you picked a great day at Wittmund!
