This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). For me no pics on the ground... heatwaves, the high grass and not having a huge stepladder with me are the reasons. About the Gendarmerie... they started checking ID's and car license plates but after 15 minutes they stopped as the crowd seems too big for themE. Did you also take pictures on the ground of the aircraft? How is the gendermarie and can you use stepladders at the fence?
Thx for sharing the info.
Why taking the risk of getting in trouble with the Gendarmerie because of using stepladders against the fence when you have a spectacular take off in the morning hours - no stepladder needed - and also very very good photographic possibilities in the landing on both sides???tonno1970 wrote:just a question please... lokking at the "orange" spotters it seems a 3 step ladders could do the job. Someone told me it's needed a 5 step ladders (not an option for us) and someone says it's better not to use it for problem with gendarmerie...
I am intrested to know if it's possible to take taxyshots and if it is... which ladder is needed.
thanks in advance
PS: btw, nice pics the last 3!!!!
At the north side (southern wind) there are some places were the thick steel wire of the fence is slightly bended, just enough for your lens (diameter 63mm) to put through. But only before 10 am or after 3 pm because of the light. I think there you can make taxishots.just to know if it is possible to take also taxyshots, I prefer landing and take off but if it possible to take also taxyshots and there are no problem... why not? If there are problems, well its's simple. But as I saw some pictures of taxyshots taken last year....
ok this is an answer, thanks..... ladders stay at home, no problem.Ronaldsnl wrote:At the north side (southern wind) there are some places were the thick steel wire of the fence is slightly bended, just enough for your lens (diameter 63mm) to put through. At this moment there is a very nice situation between the Gendarmerie and the spotting community at Orange. Dont spoil that by putting stepladders against the fence.
