Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Tigermeet 2012, Ørland, Norway (Photo's)

Post by stipjes »

Last week we left Brabant to do some wreck hunting in Denmark and Sweden. After 2500km's we arrived in Norway today for the Tiger Meet 2012. The weather was good, partly cloudy. It seems there are 2 missions a day. One at 11.00 and one at 15.00. The Awacs leave earlier and come back late. There are three here. The tankers (KC-135's) only flew in the morning so in the afternoon the mission were short.
I quickly "PS-ed" some pics. Hope you like them. Some more spectacular pics will follow from other I guess. Today some Dutch spotters had a great spot along the runway today.
The painters in Europe where very busy again! I leave it up to others if they like it or not.....

The spottersday on friday will have 3 spots near the runway and taxiway I understood. Unfortunately the light will be opposite after the early morning. From the outside there are several good spots as you can see on the scramble "where to go". Today also the first warbirds came in....

Ah yes, Bodo is indeed another event in Norway in the same month, but not held simultanuously...

Once again the Germans made a great paint for the Tornado.

But the Norwegian Tigertails are also good.
Check http://www.youtube.com/user/Vipers810 for my spotting and airshow video`s.

He Maurits,

Some red dry paint just landed on my car ;-). Today another day @ the fence. Weather; light drizzle ;-(.....
Fyi; I heard that from Trondheim harbour there will be a FootFerry at 6.30 and 8.00 in the morning. It brings you to the harbour near the airfield where an air force bus will pick you up. There are also 2 routes by car (and a quick ferry) to Orland.
