Positive signs the United 787 . After a week of grounding due to several problems the UA B788 has been performing several test flights this week. UAL7708 IAH-AMS is now also listed on the website of United operated by ship number 3904, which is N20904.
Business is almost full, but still lots of economy seats available (see seat-map section on the flight status page)

I thought it wasn't a regular flight, but only a test with no paying customers?

The FAA-party doesn't travel economy class
(although I have to admit that it remains odd that you can actually see the seatplan on a testflight)
