The Dutch MoD confirmed that 18 F-16's will be delivered to Ukraine, most likely the 312sq airframes which are planned to stop operations by the end of September 2024.

In the meantime 312sq withdrew the J-016 and J-136 from service and both are stored at Volkel, 22 airframes remain operational with this squadron.

The stored J-021 on Volkel was flown to Charleroi on December 14th. On that same day also the J-209 and J-509 made testflights from Gosselies.

Currently flying to SABCA on the 25th of January is NAF312 J-508, according to stanlytrack a second F-16 should be in the flight, tho this is not visually confirmed. EDIT: The 2 ship F-16s were the J-508 and J-136

Het demissionaire kabinet kondigde in december aan achttien F-16's gereed te maken voor levering aan Oekraïne.
Daar komen deze zes nu bij.

De 24 toestellen gaan naar Oekraïne zodra de regering in Kyiv aan een aantal voorwaarden voldoet zoals opgeleid personeel en de juiste infrastructuur. Ook ondergaan een aantal vliegtuigen nog een grote onderhoudsbeurt.

Nederland heeft ook achttien F-16's bestemd voor een trainingscentrum in Roemenië.
Deze vliegtuigen blijven eigendom van Nederland.

Daar worden vliegers uit Oekraïne,
maar ook uit NAVO-landen in het oosten van Europa, opgeleid om met de F-16 te vliegen.

De trainingen worden verzorgd door fabrikant Lockheed Martin.
Die onderhoudt de vliegtuigen ook.

De F-16 wordt bij de Koninklijke Luchtmacht vervangen door de F-35.
Defensie liet medio 2021 weten twaalf F-16's te verkopen aan Draken International met een optie voor nog 28 toestellen.

De (ver)koopovereenkomst werd medio vorig jaar met wederzijds goedvinden beëindigd.
Er was een meningsverschil over de staat van het onderhoud van de vliegtuigen.

Onderdeel van de schikking was dat Draken alsnog zes van de afgesproken twaalf jachtvliegtuigen kon kopen.

"De Staat en Draken zijn gezamenlijk tot de conclusie gekomen
dat de verkoop en levering van deze zes F-16's in de voorzienbare toekomst geen doorgang zal vinden",

The Dutch MoD confirmed that 6 additional F-16's will be delivered to Ukraine, adding up to 24 F-16's. With the 18 airframes planned for the EFTC it matches the amount of 42 F-16's listed below.

The on Volkel stored J-136 was flown to Charleroi on January 25th accompanied by the 312sq J-508, 21 operational F-16's remain at Volkel. On the previous day the J-067 and J-368 made testflights from Gosselies without markings.

During the first month of the new year almost all 312sq airframes flew missions with the exception of 5 F-16's.

Defence Ministry spokesman Mark van de Beek told Defense News that the remaining 13 F-16’s destined for the EFTC in Romania are now to follow by the end of June. Previous comments from the MoD stated the intention to deliver all 18 by the end of 2023.

Last Friday 1st of March the J-014 made an engine test run at Leeuwarden, after having arrived there in September 2023 due to a bird hit.
