There´s also an interesting USAF photo essay "Indian air force trains with Mountain Home AFB Airmen" (seven pictures included): http://www.mountainhome.af.mil/news/sto ... =123107662" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hope that helps a little bit more to document this historic Indian air force Su-30 deployment to CONUS. And I will have watchful eyes on the web for their arrival at Nellis AFB for Red Flag...

The Vikings have landed

Post by sentinel »

I'm surprised that the S-3s are flying at all let alone that they are tanking across the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. I have never seen this before. What are the Vikings doing? Anyone knows why they are being deployed when they have been retired from the big decks?

Lajes traffic

Post by sentinel »

With the spate of movements going through Lajes this week do we have any confirmed sightings and serials which can be shared.

5 EA-6Bs
4 S-3s
4 F-16A/B
4 F-16I

The Navy must be in a rotation cycle with USAF assets to follow.

The Vikings should be departing to Sigonella tomorrow (Monday) and those Prowlers should have arrived also last Saturday as Mazda 11-15.

Hope this helps,

I managed to learn these Retro 61-64 are Israeli AF F-16s. But don't know their exact destination.
