Re: The end for Malev ?

Well, 3 February 2012 was an emotional day for all Hungarian aviation enthusiasts. One of the pilots, Cpt. Csaba Demeter wrote an account of yesterday's events on his FB page (http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=364694876891940&id=100000542920624) - translation by yours truly: Dear Frie...

Re: The end for Malev ?

according to Skyliner all a/c except LOA,LOB and LOI were flown to Shannon. Is it fair to assume these three are owned by another leasing co. ? I believe all 737s were leased from the same company (ILFC). LOI remained in Dublin, and did not come "home", while LOA stuck in Tel Aviv after service was...

Re: The end for Malev ?

It is still uncertain when Malév aircraft will be flown to Shannon. According to the latest information, the departure of 15 to 19 a/c is scheduled between 15:10 and 15:40 CET today. However, rumours suggest that no crews are available to fly the planes, since none of Malév's pilots were willing to ...

Re: REQ: airshow Ostrava-Mosnov

Hi, If you're asking about the NATO Days (http://www.dny-nato.cz/index.php?lang=en): I think this event is definitely worth a visit, although the 2012 programme is yet unknown, of course. The static display has been very strong in recent years, and hopefully that will continue in 2012. As far as the...

Nothing, unfortunately.
However, the unofficial info is (I believe it was disclosed on the show's Facebook page) that the Minister of Defence is "against the airshow".

Re: Leeuwarden 2011 Opinions

Hi guys, I visited the Luchmachtdagen on saturday (unfortunately my flight was booked well in advance, and could not change to friday). Actually, this was my first visit to the Netherlands. My impression is 99% positive. To begin with, everyone was very helpful and polite (and not only on the base -...

Re: Kecskemét AB 4/5 Aug 2012

To agree with my fellow countryman: we asked the Gripen jocks at Zeltweg, and they told us the decision is expected for December or January - which is maybe a bit late. We also talked to some of our guys in Radom, and their opinion was the same. To be honest, I'm not very optimistic about a 2012 Kec...

25000 hours... quite understandably everyone is very disappointed.
