Re: London-Luton (EGGW/LTN) - 2009 CIV

After a very cold morning at Stansted we arrived at Luton around 3. Just after we arrived it started raining here as well so we only read all the aircraft on the ramps and then quickly on to Gatwick!! This is what we noted between 3 and 4: CS-DPN Cessna Mustang 510-0163 Corporate D-CUUU Cessna Citat...

After a short night we woke up at 5 to catch the first arrivals. We again stayed in our room and the lounge until we had to go. This is what we saw between 5 and 11 again with the help of the scanner and the Heathrow movement site! 9M-MPN Boeing B.747 28432 Malaysia Airlines 9V-SKD Airbus A.380 8 Si...

Re: London-Heathow (EGLL/LHR) - 2009 CIV

We arrived at Heathrow at 13:30 and quickly checked in the Renaissance hotel. We booked a 'spotting break' package wich I can really recommend to everybody! Again with the use of the scanner and the Heathrow movement site we managed to log the following between 13:30 and 23:00: 4K-AZ05 Airbus A.319 ...

EGKK 08-12-2009

After a good night sleep we woke up at 06:15 and we continued were we left the night before. We stayed in our room until 12 and then went to the crash gate were, with some effort, you can see all departing and arriving traffic. This must be the most spotter unfriendly airport I have ever visited.......

London-Stansted (EGSS/STN) - 2010 CIV

Together with Hans van Dam I made a 3 day trip to the UK. We started very early at Stansted so we missed the first wave of departures due to the darkness.... Despite the cold weather we managed to see the following from 6:00-14:00 before the rain made it impossible to stay! 5B-DBR Boeing B.737NG 307...

When we arrived at Gatwick it was allready dark and since their is almost no place to have a good view of the airport we decided to check in early at our Travelodge hotel near the airport. Luckily we were able to get a room with a decent view...

Re: London-Heathow (EGLL/LHR) - 2009 CIV

Here's my log of monday the 20th. Set the alarm at 4:45 to catch all the early arrivals! They started landing 27L but around 5:30 or so they switched to 27R. Re: Spotting at Heathrow

Hi Adriaan,

Visitor centre is not so important at all but on the scramble site is says it is still open and on some english site it says it is closed thats why I want to know because I heard that is the only place nowadays you can read the traffic on 27L and 27R at the same time.
