After the event in the evening of 11.06. CH-53GE 84+14 came unfortunately only as far as Rietberg as you can see!

A spotter day is planned for 9.6. at Hohn. But most spotters will go either to Leeuwarden or Neuburg on this day! :-)

On Monday, 7.3. a Swiss AF Beech 1900 is planned to visit from 09.40 to 10.10 hours local. On 22.3. a RAF Voyager will visit from 15.40 to 17.40 hours local. Happy Spotting!

The "Tag der Luftwaffe" (Day of the Air Force) on 11.6. at Hohn will be the last big event at the base, according to the LTG 63 Kommodore. As the Transall will be in service for 50 years in 2018, but the wing is starting to loose manpower from 2017 to 2021, there are no resources to fly the high amo...

TLwG 31 at Nörvenich has more than 35 Eurofighters in it´s books, so it should be no problem to give Wittmund 20 or so a/c for a new TLwG 71!

LTG 61 future

LTG 61 at Landsberg/Lech will loose it last C-160D´s by the end of 2017. The wing will close down one year later. LTG 62 at Wunstorf will become the sole A.400M operator and will start 24/7 operations when it is the only air transport wing in GAF.

At least the second A.400M for LTG 62 arrived on 10.12.2015 in the shape of 54+03. An furhter A.400M should arrive in the next days. Happy Spotting!

On Thursday 2.7. LTG 62 will celebrate the C-160D from 13.30 to 15.00 h local! On this day the Wing will official phase out the Trall!!

Noted at 25.06.2015 around 17.30 h local were four C-160D on the ramp, all with LTG 62 badge. One of them wears the “Hans Huckebein” raven on the fin together with “Fly out Wunstorf”! Another was painted in a new medium sea grey colourscheme(!) with “Luftwaffe” titels like on the A.400M. No serials ...
