Last time I was there it was about to close as an operational base. 17sq is based there nowadays with the Oryx and A109E LUH helicopters. But i...

SAAF Oryx - short video

Hi all, my first go at posting on Youtube. It's a 28 second clip of an Oryx helicopter taking off and performing a flyby at the SAAF museum at Swartkop AFB, South Africa. I shot this two weeks ago while on vacation in South Africa. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jjQiRnCmWU" onclick="window.open(thi...

Re: mmm

The spot is not hard to find, when you are there figure it out........ but it is a tricky spot, you are vissible for the police and they don't like you there. No problems with guards/police as I see the runway shots taken towards the base No problems, we where checked several time's by the german s...

Bonnetjes, of kopietjes daarvan is vaak voldoende.

One remark on this issue. In the Norwegian Military news section it is mentioned that the NorAF has sold 15 F-5s to the USA for 560 million dollars. Where do you get that amount from? According to Norwegian newspapers, the transaction is worth 100 million Norwegian Kronars, which is about 12 million...
