Anyone know what the role of Volkel is? It is mentioned as participating airbase. But is it just that the regular dutch jets participating in the exercise operate from their home base? Or is there a chance that other fighters would be deployed here?

Oopski... Probably trying to scare it away by dumping fuel very nearby. If the intention was to bring it down, they could have just used guns or missiles. The dumped fuel could impede sensors on the Reaper. But they could also hope it would catch fire. That would destroy it without them touching it...

Schandalig dat er vliegers zijn die zich daarvoor lenen. Schijnbaar zijn er momenteel geen regels die dit verbieden. Hopelijk leidt dit wel tot aanpassing van de regels zodat er bijvoorbeeld eerst vooraf toestemming gevraagd moet worden bij defensie. En als dat niet gebeurd, zeer zware straffen ople...
