Baarlo & Kessel (collection)

Post by r.e.hendriks »

Hi all,

I visited Baarlo and Kessel today and have two small questions.

Baarlo:
Next to the BMW garage two MiG-23's were parked, the one in the back was 2423 of the Czech AF, the one in the front was not marked, but it looked like it had it's registration on the nose just like the old German AF MiG-23's. According the Scramble DB, 20+08 of the German AF should be stored here. Could this be the one?

Kessel:
Behind the building a lot of aircraft are dumped. Between the F-104's a light grey F-5 lay on it's belly. Couldn't see any markings. Does anyone have any idea which one this might be?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards, Rob.

Don't know exactly, but it was also there (for probably some time already) in March 2006.

No, the red MiG-23 was still at Kessel.

The one which I saw at Baarlo in company of the 2423, was still wearing it's old camo c/s which looked very East-German to me.

Dear aviation-friends,

I really don't agree with the message of "KMARRIE".

It is FORBIDDEN to climb over fences to enter someone elses property.

A sign with the text "verboden toegang" is not needed. I think that when someone builds al fence, it is clear that you may not enter this area !!

Even a closed Garden Center is property of someone and you need permission of the owner to enter it.

Because of those stupid people which climb over fences, the aviation enthausiasts get a bad name. I am sorry to say, but I hate these people which don't follow the rules.

So my message is, DO NOT CLIMB OVER FENCES AND DO NOT ENTER SOMEONES PROPORTY WITHOUT PERMISSION !!!!
