Rond 17:00 uur kwam er een donker blauwe/zwarte helikopter laag over Soesterberg heen. De heli leek te komen vanaf de voormalige basis (om aan te geven dat het dus écht laag vloog). Type leek op AW.139/Bell 427..... enig idee?

Ben daar niet helemaal mee eens; de BELL 212/412 series zijn in dienst van vele luchtstrijdkrachten, juist als SAR platform, en vele in de burgerluchtvaart. Ik weet van crew van o.a. Oostenrijk en Italië dat dit type uitermate geschikt is als SAR/medisch transport. Natuurlijk is de ruimte beprekt......

Wat is nu eigenlijk de status van de AB412's? De reden die gehanteerd wordt om tot eind 2012 3 Cougars inzetbaar te houden, is dat deze SAR taken zouden moeten uitvoeren. Ik meen ooit gelezen te hebben dat de AB.412'jes de Alouettes gaan vervangen in de rol die ze nu hebben (vliegen van VIPS etc.) ...
