Our very popular and in high demand EMOOS-publication will go for a second print! The first print is pretty much sold out and very soon more books will be available. Our aim is to have them ready for sale at the upcoming Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford (20-21 July), so if you happen to visit the air show you will save on postage and packaging costs.
After a six-year hiatus, AirVG was organised again in 2024 and took place on 11 May at Zagreb's Franjo Tuđman Airport, Croatia, where editor Erik Sleutelberg was present to give us a nice overview of all aircraft that attended. It was the introduction of the Rafale into the inventory of the Croatian Air Force as well as the inevitable phase-out of its iconic predecessor: the MiG-21. Article two is SAR for the Sunshine State, written by Carey Mavor. It describes the past, present and future of Search And Rescue-operations at Florida’s CGAS Clearwater.
The August 2024 edition will be available from Sunday 4 August and the deadline for photos is Tuesday 30 July.
Beech 1900C-1 SE-MJV is the second Beech 1900C in the fleet of Swedish operator Jonair. The aircraft was previously operated by a South African private company. It started its ferry flight to Northern Europe on 19 June and nine days later, after several stops at various places in Africa and Maastricht, it continued to Stockholm-Bromma.
